Nature Led; Community Driven
RootED Learning Collective was created to be a unique learning space for homeschooling families.
With nature leading our curriculum and community input fine-tuning it, we’ve taken the isolation out of homeschooling and applied the mindset of a village raising our children.
Learning Through Nature
Kids thrive outdoors. Sitting in a classroom doesn’t feel natural for their minds, bodies or souls.
Through our two programs, Expand and Explore, we lead education through curiosity and a hands-on approach. By removing 4 walls, we give children the opportunity for limitless exploration using their senses in a beautiful outdoor, garden setting - the perfect recipe for education that lasts a lifetime!
Only The BEST
Miss Shay did her homework when it came time to choose curriculum for each grade level!
She searched high and low until she found the perfect fit that made education feel fun, effortless and easy to incorporate into a nature based setting.
In our Expand program, your kiddo will learn in a hands-on, engaging way that is easy to follow while also challenging enough to keep them on their toes! We have curriculum prepared for ages TK through 6th grade in our Expand program.
For Explore, we follow a beautiful nature-based curriculum that takes kiddos on a story through the seasons.

Options For Everyone
Whether you’re looking for a drop-off program or a parent involved class, RootED has options for you.
Expand is our all-inclusive, drop-off style class. Children learn 4 core subjects in a beautiful garden setting. While we cover core subjects, this is far from traditional school! You’ll find our kiddos moving around frequently, learning outdoors and using nature treasures within lessons to keep an appreciation for the great outdoors thriving. (Enrolling ages 5 as of September 2025 - 11 years old)
Explore is our nature-based, sensory filled class. STEM activities, nature appreciation and life skills fill the days as we follow curriculum that leads us through the seasons. Explore is a bit of a Montessori infused class. While instructors start the class, we let the children lead the bulk of it. We encourage mixing of ages, parents volunteering and learning from each other. (18 months +)
My daughter and I are so grateful to be a part of Rooted!
It nurtures her sense of wonder in nature, inspires her curiosity in exploration, and fosters social bonds amongst children of all ages that get to learn out in the open together. How does it get any better than that?!
Well, by receiving guidance from incredible teachers, parents with a community focus and enveloped by the vibrancy of colors, sounds and textures that the outdoors offer us!
This program truly aligns with the values and vision that I have for her education and childhood. It is enriched with creativity, learning from experts in our community and propelling our kids to be self directed learners that will grow up with a variety of skills and knowledge that traditional schooling just can’t offer!
It truly is an inclusive village of families who want intentional and nourishing schooling as a collective, and we are fortunate to be a part of it.
